The building we propose as ENLARGEMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE DON BENITO-VILLANUEVA FIREPLACE PARK is a compact, slightly square, where the hangars and common uses make up the public space of the ground floor, reserving the first floor for private uses of Administration and residence.
To achieve this we extend the structures of the existing garages towards the south and limit the plot, creating a GREAT HANGAR, which, allowing both light and natural ventilation, collects both parking uses and warehouses and workshops. The space of this hangar allows the perfect maneuverability of the vehicles, providing an access from the Avenue of the Las Vegas Highs, as well as the exit by the existing transversal street. To the east, and bordering with the exercise tower, there is a private parking from where we can access the living areas of the complex.
In the ground floor, and delimiting the hangar by the north and east, the changing rooms, gymnasium and the exhibition space in the new building are distributed, uses that can be accessed independently without compromising the operation of the complex, and we locate the center of Communications, computer and waiting room in the reform of the existing building.
The first floor contains the needs of the bedrooms, toilets and kitchen-dining room in the new building, leaving for the first floor of the renovated building the most private administrative areas. The livable volume of the elevator is provided and a direct and open staircase is projected to the hangar from the level of the residence for the quick access to the vehicles and changing rooms in emergency situations.
Technically, the construction and measurement of the current hangars are what will mark the expansion of the whole. The modulation of these will serve to rethink the new structures based on metallic supports, trusses and decks. WE CONSERVE, in addition to the existing workshops and garages, the structure and enclosures of the current administrative building, although it will be necessary to comply with the current regulations on safety and energy efficiency. The new building allows to close an entire space that will operate the complex optimally, maintaining as a surplus value much of the empty space available, both in the building and on the plot, for other uses, sporting, exhibition and as a reserve space.
